It has been a whirlwind weekend and I know I didn’t get my blog posts up and going for a few days, so I thought I would share a little bit of my fun, crafty, and crazy life around here from the last few days. I figure you’d get a kick out of some of silliness and crafting that went on.
The Valentine’s Weekend actually kicked off on Thursday with my sweet husband sending me an early balloon bouquet and chocolate covered strawberries! Yum!
Strawberries are my favorite fruit so this was a fabulous treat!
Then I discovered that I had lost the final piece to the Valentine’s Cards that Nicholas and I had worked on a few weeks ago, so we scrambled to get some cards put together for his preschool class the night before he needed to take them in. Thankfully he LOVES stamping and crafting, and so was happy to have an excuse to get to use my craft stash (as opposed to his supplies that he always has access to).
The slighly scary thing was that I helped him get everything stamped (he did most of it, I just made sure the mess was contained) and then had to leave for Stamp Club that night and so I left him alone with brads, buttons, and some cheap glitter tape I found at Target a while back to finish them up while I was gone. He did decorate some and you got to hand it to him for creativity given that he is only just turned 5!
Like his creative placement of brads and buttons. Almost all of the pirates had brad eyepatches.
And he even did some paper piercing around the fish and their bubbles!
On Valentine’s Day, Nicholas had a strange tummy bug, so we decided to stay in and do a relaxed Family Movie Night. Which then degenerated into Silly Selfie Night! Love these kiddos!
And then I got to finish out the weekend with MORE CRAFTING on Sunday, yay! I hosted Birthday themed events including the Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit class in the morning. We took over my dining room and loved it!
And I shared the following samples for them to be inspired by! I made my entire calendar in an evening this week and loved it! I will admit I was intimidated to get started on it but once I got going it was so fun and easy to do. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the stamp set that coordinates with the kit. I’m sure you will see me using it for other non-calendar projects as well.
And yes! I’ll be taking better pictures of my calendar pages for a blog post very soon!
Then we had more people join us for the afternoon of Birthday Card creation! Check out what we made:
COMING SOON! BIRTHDAY CARD CLASS BY MAIL!
I loved putting these cards together and they were fun to make so I’m putting them together for my next class by mail. I just need to photograph them nicely and get the instructions written up and then everything will be ready to go! I have a limited number available and they will start shipping out next week. So, if you want me to save you one email me at jennifer@nwstamper.com. It will be $3.95 for the instructions or $15 plus shipping for the card kits.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend too!
