I know a lot of us are checking out the sales and looking for great deals for our family and friends, and you’ll be seeing a lot today about Small Business Saturday.  This is a day when we are reminded that there are so many people trying to support their families and their dreams by creating and/or selling awesome products without the big corporate behind them running the show.  It takes a lot of guts and a lot of work to build up a small business, but the rewards are worth it!  I am so grateful for the ability to sign up to help in my kids classrooms when the opportunity arises, or take care of those unexpected situations at home, all without having to worry about whether my boss will let me have the time off.  You see, I have an awesome boss… she really is quite cool about everything.     Plus, I get to do something I love – create fun projects and teach and share how to make them with others!  And with my team of Fun n’ Crafty Stampers, I get to help others do more too.  It really is amazing.

So as we are shopping this holiday season, remember all those independent business owners who are working hard and outside the everyday business hours for you.
